Kalikan Farmer Producer Company Limited is situated in Sultanpur. Our main point of contact is Achnaiber Singh in Sangrampur, Amethi. We operate from his place. It’s a small operation for the farmers in this part of Uttar Pradesh. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a house where we keep the papers and have our meetings. Sultanpur is a place where people really understand the value of hard work. We are just a group of local people who know about farming. We don't have any fancy mission statements or marketing plans. We just focus on the soil and the crops. Sometimes the weather is tough, but we just keep going. We meet up at Achnaiber Singh’s place and talk about the best seeds or how to handle the latest pests. It’s very down-to-earth work. We’ve been in Sangrampur for a long time and our families are all from here. We aren't trying to impress anyone. We just want to do a good job with the farming. It’s a small producer company and we like it that way. We have our hands in the dirt most of the time. That’s what we are used to. Being a company together helps us share the burden.
