Our place is at 03 Darveshpur Nandapur in the Jalalpur area of Ambedkar Nagar. The name we use is Darveshpur Kishan Unnati Producer Company Limited. We are located right in the Darveshpur Ambedkar Nagar village. Out here in Uttar Pradesh, specifically in the 224190 area, life is all about the farm. We are just a group of local farmers who wanted to do things a bit better. We aren't a big corporation with a lot of money or fancy offices. We meet at the house and talk about what we need for the next season. Whether it’s talking about the price of diesel for the pumps or which crops are looking healthy, it is all very everyday stuff. We don't have any big corporate plans or anything like that. We just want to make sure that as farmers, we aren't getting the short end of the stick. It is a lot of hard work, and the sun can be really brutal in the middle of the day. But this is our home and our livelihood. We don't really have a lot to say in terms of marketing. We are just here, working the land in Jalalpur and trying to keep things moving forward for the people in our village. It’s a group effort, and we just take it one day at a time.
