Indraprabha Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is based out in Bangaon, specifically the Bhiti area in Ambedkarnagar. You can find us through Amarnath Singh's place in the village. We are a farmer producer company that focuses on agro work. This means we spend most of our time thinking about the soil and what grows in it. Ambedkarnagar has some good land if you know how to treat it. We are just a bunch of villagers who decided that working together was better than working separately. We don’t have any big corporate offices with air conditioning. Most of our meetings happen under a tree or in a small room in the village. We deal with the stuff that comes off the farms right here in Bangaon. It might be grains or vegetables depending on the time of year. We try to help each other get better prices for what we grow. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes because the market changes so fast. But we stay at it. We’re not looking to become some massive global company. We just want the farmers in our little corner of Uttar Pradesh to do okay. If you visit Bhiti, you’ll see the kind of life we lead. It’s quiet and hard work, but we are used to it. We keep our records simple and our focus on the next planting season.
