Manish Krishi Kalyaan Producer Company Limited is based in Tajpur, Ambedkar Nagar, specifically over at Ram Kewal Yadav’s place near Po Hazpura. If you go to the village of Tajpur, you’ll find us there, probably busy with something related to the fields. We aren’t interested in sounding like a big company because we are just local farmers at the end of the day. This company was formed so we could have a better way to organize our work and maybe help each other out with the heavy lifting that comes with agriculture. Ambedkar Nagar has some good land, but you have to work it hard to get anything out of it. We spend our days checking the weather and making sure the crops are healthy. Ram Kewal’s house serves as our home base where we handle the paperwork and sit down to have a chat about the season. It’s a very straightforward way of working. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just want to grow good food and make enough to keep our homes going. There are plenty of challenges, from the bugs to the dry spells, but we just take them one at a time. It’s a quiet life in Tajpur, and we like it that way. Being part of this producer company just makes us feel a little more secure in the work we do every day.
