Mitheni Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Pihani in Hardoi. You can find us over at Parmeswar Deen’s place in Jareli. We are just a local group of farmers who live and work right here in the Hardoi district. It’s a quiet place, and most of us have been doing this since we were little kids helping our fathers in the fields. We started this company because it’s getting harder to do everything on your own these days. Between the rising cost of seeds and the trouble of finding a good price at the market, we figured we would be better off if we teamed up. We don't have any big offices or polished talk. Most of our business is done sitting on a porch or standing in the dirt talking about the weather. We aren't experts at the business side of things, so we make some mistakes here and there with the files and the forms. But we know our crops. We are just trying to keep our farms running so we can look after our kids and the village. There isn't any hidden agenda or fancy strategy. It’s just us trying to stay afloat in a tough world. Sometimes the rain doesn't come and sometimes it’s too much, but having a group makes it feel a bit less lonely. We just take it season by season and hope for the best for everyone involved.
