Shiv Shakti Mechanical Works

Plot No 72 in New Arjun Nagar is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It is right near the industrial area, so the noise of trucks and metal is something we got used to a long time ago. We have been here at Shiv Shakti Mechanical Works for a while now. The shop isn't fancy. It is a practical space with grease on the floor and tools hanging where they should be, or sometimes left on the bench after a long shift. We deal with various mechanical tasks and part repairs. Usually, the morning starts with opening the heavy shutters and checking what needs fixing first. It is dusty work. We have a couple of lathes and some welding equipment that keep us busy. People around New Arjun Nagar know us for just getting on with it. There is no air conditioning here, just a couple of wall fans that push the hot air around during the summer. We drink tea from the stall around the corner twice a day. The work is steady, mostly fixing parts for larger machines or making small components when someone brings a sample in. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just a desk in the corner with a ledger and some old files. It is honest work and we try to keep things moving so customers aren't waiting too long for their bits and pieces.
