Working at B-74 in the M.I. Area means dealing with a lot of heavy lifting and stone dust. Dimex Granites Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this industrial plot for years. It is not a place for fancy clothes because everything gets covered in white powder pretty fast. We have the big slabs of granite sitting out and the machines running most of the day. It gets quite loud, so we have to shout sometimes to hear each other. The M.I. Area is always busy with trucks coming in and out to pick up loads. We spend our time checking the blocks and making sure the cuts are alright. It is hard work and the sun gets really hot on the metal roof during the summer months. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People know where we are if they need stone. We just focus on getting the orders ready and loaded onto the trucks. Sometimes a shipment is late or a machine breaks down, and we just have to deal with it as it comes. It is a straightforward business. We show up, we do the work, and we go home. That is pretty much how it goes every day at the yard. There is not much more to it than that. We just keep our heads down and try to keep things moving along so the yard stays organized and the trucks can get in and out quickly.
