Caparo Fasteners

Caparo Fasteners is located at Plot No. A- 7 in the Chopanki Industrial Area. We are pretty close to the Bhiwadi Tapukara road. The whole area is nothing but factories and big warehouses. We make fasteners, which basically means a lot of screws and bolts. The factory floor is loud because the machines are constantly stamping and cutting metal. You have to wear earplugs if you’re going to be out there for long. The air is always a bit metallic and there’s oil on the floor in some spots, so you have to watch your step. We aren't some high-tech lab; it’s a grit-and-gears kind of place. Some of the workers have been at these machines for years and they can tell if a bolt is slightly off just by looking at it. We have a small office area where we keep the orders, but most of the action happens out where the parts are being made. The trucks come in the morning to load up the crates of fasteners. It’s a repetitive job but it’s important because nothing stays together without these little pieces. We deal with a lot of heat in the summer and the shed gets quite cold in the winter mornings. We just focus on the production line and making sure the machines don’t jam up during a big run. It takes a lot of maintenance to keep everything running smooth.
