The industrial estate at D-83 is where you will find us. It’s a place where there is always some kind of noise, whether it is a hammer hitting metal or a truck backing up nearby. We run several presses here at Shri Balaji. It is heavy work, and the shop floor is usually covered in scrap metal and bits of oil. We don't have a reception area with soft chairs; you basically just walk into the workspace and find us. Our guys are usually wearing overalls that have seen better days. We do a lot of metal pressing, and that means we are always mindful of the machines and the heat. It gets quite loud, so we have to shout sometimes to hear each other over the clanking. We’ve been in this specific spot for years, and we have seen the estate change quite a bit around us. Some shops closed, others opened, but we just kept our presses running. We aren't much for talking about ourselves in a fancy way. We just show up, do the production runs, and make sure the crates are loaded correctly. The office part is just a small corner with a fan and a computer that’s a few years old. We focus on the metal and making sure the pieces come out the way they are supposed to. It’s a long day, but it’s what we know how to do well enough.
