Himachli Dhaba

You will find Himachli Dhaba about 10 km out on the G T Road, near Aligarh. We are specifically located in the Pala Sallu area. It is right on the side of the highway, so we get a lot of trucks and people driving long distances. It is a very basic setup, just a roadside dhaba where you can get a hot meal and take a break. The 202001 area around here is mostly open land and the highway. We spend a lot of our time out by the tandoor or keeping an eye on the road. The G T Road is never quiet, there is always the sound of traffic passing by at all hours of the day and night. We have been running this place for years and we don't have any fancy management. It’s just us doing the cooking and serving the customers who stop by. Sometimes the dust from the road is a bit much, so we are always cleaning the tables. We don’t have air conditioning or anything like that, just the breeze if we are lucky. Most people who stop are looking for a simple place to rest their legs for a bit. We enjoy hearing the stories of where people are headed. It’s an honest way to make a living and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is. If you're on the highway near Aligarh, you'll probably see our lights at night when you drive past Pala Sallu.
