Roshni Restaurant

Roshni Restaurant is a small place located at 3/38 in Aligarh, right near the Madhupura Railway Station. Being so close to the station means we see a lot of people coming and going at all hours. We opened up here because we knew folks getting off the trains would be hungry and looking for something quick and hot to eat. Our menu isn't very long, we just focus on the stuff we can cook well every single day. The kitchen is visible from some of the tables, so you can hear the pans clanking and see the steam rising. It gets pretty loud in here when a train has just arrived, and the chairs are often pulled around to make room for luggage. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and the daily specials written on a board. The staff consists of a few local guys who have been working here for years. We know the train schedules by heart now. Sometimes we run out of certain items by the end of the day if the crowds were big. It’s just a regular station-side eatery where the tea is always hot and the food is simple. We don't try to be anything other than a convenient spot for a meal before or after a long journey on the rails. It’s a hectic place but we like the energy.
