Ashoka Metals

Our workshop is tucked away in Gali No 10 on Pala Sahibabad Road. If you know the Sasni Gate area, we're right near Bank Colony. Ashoka Metals is basically just a place where we deal with metal all day long. It gets pretty loud with the machines and the moving of heavy parts. The floors are usually covered in some kind of dust or shavings, but that’s part of the job. We've been in this spot for a good bit of time. It isn't a showroom or anything like that. It’s just where the work happens. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time getting down the lane, but we manage. We spend most of our hours here just making sure the orders are ready. There's always something to cut or weld. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop on the road, just a place that does its job. It’s a small group of us working here. We know the neighbors and the other shop owners around the colony. Lunch breaks are usually quick because there's always a pile of material waiting. We don’t spend much time on the computer; mostly we are out on the floor. It’s practical work. If you come by, you’ll likely hear the grinders going before you even see the door. It’s just how we live our lives at the shop. We keep it straightforward. We aren't fancy people, just metal workers.
