Down on Chahgarmaya Street, you will find us at 13/9. Aggarwal Metals (National) has been a fixture here for many years. It’s a busy street, especially in the afternoons. Our shop is packed with metal sheets and rods. There isn't much space to walk around once the new stock arrives. We spend our time weighing things and cutting pieces to size. It’s a lot of heavy lifting. We are just a family-run thing, really. No big bosses or fancy suits. We wear our work clothes and get our hands dirty every day. People in the neighborhood know the name Aggarwal Metals (National) because we’ve been here so long. We don't use a lot of fancy technology. We have our scales and our ledgers. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside and watch the street while we wait for the next person to come by. It’s a simple way of doing things. We don't have any big goals other than keeping the business going for the next generation. Chahgarmaya Street is where we belong. We know the other shopkeepers and the folks who live nearby. If you need some metal, you just come to 13/9 and we will see what we have in the back. It is usually quite a lot, even if it looks messy. We keep our eyes on the scale and our minds on the work at hand, day in and day out.
