Sun School

Sun School is located out here in Kavalam, Alappuzha. It's a quiet area mostly, surrounded by what you’d expect in this part of the country. We’ve been running things for a bit now, focusing on the kids from around the village. The building isn't anything huge, just enough rooms for the classes we need to hold. Being in Alappuzha, the weather is usually warm, but we have some trees around that keep the place a bit cooler during the day. We don't really go in for those big city school styles. It’s mostly just local families sending their children here. We see the same faces every morning at the gate. The teachers live nearby too, so everyone knows everyone else. It’s a small community. We handle the daily lessons, the lunch breaks, and the playground time just like any other place. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit messy on the paths, but the kids don't seem to mind it much. We just try to make sure they learn their basics and have a safe spot to be during the day. There's no big fuss about how we do things. It’s just a regular school life in a regular village. We open up early and wrap things up by the afternoon. It works for the families here. We've been a part of this landscape for years and intend to stay.
