Birla International School

Birla International School is situated right on the Jaipur-Ajmer Highway, at Mile Stone 82 near Kishangarh. Being on the National Highway-8 means we see a lot of trucks and cars passing by all day. The campus is quite large because there is more space out here than in the middle of Ajmer. It is a bit of a trek to get here if you are coming from the city, but we have buses for that. The wind blows across the open highway and hits the buildings pretty hard. We have some nice green patches, but keeping them watered in this climate is a chore. The students come from different places, and some of them stay in the hostels. The dining hall is a big part of the day, with everyone sitting together for meals. It is a noisy place, especially when the kitchen staff is busy. We have a lot of corridor space where kids hang out between classes. The staff mostly lives on-site or nearby, so we are always around. It is a practical way to live. We deal with the usual stuff like plumbing issues or slow internet because of the location. The gatekeepers have a busy job checking everyone in and out since the highway is so close. It is a lot of ground to cover every day, but we are used to the walk.
