Sharma Communication

Down in Nala Bazar, specifically in Chunapanchan Gali, you’ll find Sharma Communication. It is a bit hidden if you don’t know where you are going. The alleys around here are narrow and always full of people shopping for clothes or spices. We are just a small shop tucked between a garment store and a sweets seller. I start my day early, navigating the bike through the crowd to get the shop open. Inside, it’s just me and a whole lot of inventory. I sell SIM cards, do recharges, and fix whatever buttons have stopped working on people’s devices. It’s a tight space. If three people come in at once, it feels full. But that’s the charm of Nala Bazar. Everyone is close together. I’ve known the neighbors for twenty years. We share news and snacks throughout the afternoon. The light in the Gali isn't great, so I have some extra bulbs inside to make sure I can see what I’m doing with the small parts. Sharma Communication isn't a place with big glass windows or shiny floors. It’s a working shop. Most of my customers are people from the market who have known me since I was a boy. We talk about family while I work on their phones. It’s a slow pace even though the market outside is fast. I like being part of the Gali. It feels like a community more than just a place of business.
