Most of us have been farming here for our whole lives. We decided to put this company together because selling our crops individually wasn't working out. We were losing too much money to the middle guys. Now we gather everything in one place and try to sell it as a bulk. It's not a fancy operation with computers and desks. It's mostly just us sitting on a charpai and talking about the rain and the wheat. The roads out here aren't the best, so getting the trucks in and out is a real headache. Especially when it rains, everything just turns to mud. But we manage because we have to. We don't have any big goals of becoming a huge corporation. We just want to pay our bills and maybe have a little left over. Everyone in the group puts in their share of the work. Sometimes we argue about which seeds to buy or when to sell, but that's just part of being in a group. It is honest work and we take it one day at a time. Rewaradasharriya is a quiet spot, but we’re doing our part here in village one to keep our community going strong.
