Sitabari Agro Producer Company Limited

Our group is set up on Mungawali Road in Shahabad. We operate out of the office where Mangal Singh stays, which is also the Ceocoedecon office. It’s a bit of a mouthful, but locals know where we are. We're an agro producer company, which basically means we are a bunch of farmers trying to act like a business. It’s not always a smooth process because we’d all rather be out in the fields than sitting in an office. We spend a lot of time coordinating how to collect the harvest and where to send it. Shahabad has its own challenges with the soil and the rain, so there is always something to worry about. We have some basic desks and chairs, and there's usually a pile of registers on the table. We don’t use any of that corporate talk. We just discuss things in the local language and try to make decisions that help everyone in the group. Sometimes the meetings go on for way too long because everyone has a different opinion. But that’s how it works when you’re a community group. We focus on the seeds, the fertilizer, and the market prices. It’s a practical, everyday struggle to make things work, but we’re all in it together. The road outside is always busy with people heading to the market, and we're right there in the middle of it.
