Chinmay Agro Products is tucked away in Purani Mandi at Madar Gate. If you’ve ever walked through that part of the city, you know how busy it can get. The market is always full of people and smells and sounds. We’ve been here at Madar Gate for quite some time. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We operate out of a modest space in the Mandi. It’s dusty and loud sometimes, but it’s where the work happens. We handle agro products, so there’s always something moving in or out. The floor is usually covered in some kind of remnants from the day’s work. We don't mind it. It’s honest work. The walls are a bit stained and the ceiling fan makes a clicking noise, but it keeps us cool enough. People from the surrounding villages often stop by when they are in Purani Mandi. We don't have a fancy lobby or a sign that lights up. Most people just know where we are because they’ve been coming here for years. We drink a lot of tea while we talk to people. It’s a very traditional way of doing things, I suppose. There aren't many computers around here, just ledger books and a few old phones. Chinmay Agro Products is a staple of this corner. We just take things one day at a time and see what the market brings our way without making much fuss.
