Regal Convent School

Regal Convent School is over at 5 B-Block, Friends Colony, in the Vaishali Nagar area of Ajmer. We’re tucked right behind the Lions Club, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us for the first time. Friends Colony is a pretty quiet residential area, so we try not to let the kids get too loud, though that’s usually impossible during recess. The school building is an older one, just a regular structure that we’ve used for a long time. It’s not very big, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. We have a small yard where the students can stand around, and a few trees that we’ve tried to keep alive through the dry Ajmer summers. We don't have any big corporate mission or fancy slogans on the walls. It’s mostly just student drawings and some old notices about the holidays. The office is small and usually piled high with registers and files that we need to sort through. It’s a very local, hands-on kind of place. We know the parents and we know the neighbors who walk their dogs past the gate. Sometimes the traffic near Vaishali Nagar gets backed up, but our little street is usually okay. We don't have fancy cooling systems, just the ceiling fans that hum all day long. It’s a simple, honest school. We just show up, do our teaching, and go home. We’ve been part of this little block for many years.
