Love Watch Company

You can find Love Watch Company at 21 Kutcheri Road. This area is usually full of lawyers and people going to the government offices, so we see a lot of folks in a hurry. I opened this shop because I wanted a place of my own. It is not a fancy place, just a simple counter and some shelves. We have been here for a good while now. The building is a bit old, and the door squeaks when you open it, but it works for us. I spend most of the morning cleaning the glass on the display cases. Dust comes in from the road constantly because of all the traffic. We do all kinds of repairs here. Sometimes a lawyer comes in with a broken watch and he needs it fixed by the afternoon for a court hearing. I try to get things done quickly, but you can’t rush watch work. If you drop one tiny screw, it’s gone forever on the floor. I have spent many hours on my hands and knees looking for parts. My neighbors on Kutcheri Road are good people. We watch each other's shops when someone has to step out. It is a community here. The rain can be a problem in the monsoon, as the street gets a bit flooded, but we just stay inside and keep working. It’s a steady job and I like being my own boss in this little corner.
