Arain Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Shankerpura, which is part of the Arain post office area in Ajmer district. We are based at Deva Nath’s place. This company was formed because we felt that the farmers in Shankerpura needed a way to work together. It is a local effort, through and through. We don't have any big-city backing or fancy equipment. Most of our work is done manually or with the simple tools we have always used. Deva Nath’s house serves as our meeting point and office. When the harvest comes in, things get pretty chaotic around here. We have to coordinate where everything goes and make sure the records are kept straight, which isn't always easy. We are just ordinary people from the village. Our English isn't perfect, and our office isn't air-conditioned, but we understand the soil here in Ajmer better than anyone else. People from the nearby villages stop by often to see what we are doing or to join the company. We try to keep things transparent and simple. There aren't any hidden agendas or corporate talk. We just want to do better for our families and our neighbors. It is a lot of responsibility, and we feel the weight of it every day, but it is good to be working for ourselves for a change. That is the reality of our little company and we are okay with it.
