We are located at H. No. 740 in Ghumandev, which is part of Shrirampur. Yuva Shetakari Farmers Producer Company Limited is mostly a group of younger guys from the village. We saw our fathers and grandfathers farming this land, and we wanted to keep it going but maybe with some new ideas. It is not a big operation. We just use the house as a base to store our records and meet up. Shrirampur has good soil, but you have to work it hard. We spend most of our time out in the fields and only come back to the house when we have to deal with the business side of things. It is a lot of trial and error for us. Sometimes we try a new crop and it does not work out at all, which is frustrating. But that is how you learn. We do not use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just grow food and try to sell it for a fair price. The name Yuva Shetakari means young farmers, and that is exactly what we are. We are still figuring out the best ways to work together without getting in each other's way. It is noisy and messy sometimes, especially when we are all trying to talk at once. But we are all friends here, so it works out in the end. We just want to do right by our land.
