Yayati Women Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Balaji Nagar, Shrigonda. We operate out of the house belonging to Popat Bayaji Mule. It is a local group made up of women from the Shrigonda taluka who are all involved in farming. We started this because we wanted to have more control over how our crops are sold and how we get our supplies. Life in Shrigonda revolves around the farming seasons, and we are right in the middle of it. The office is just a simple space where we gather to plan our next moves. We do not have any corporate training or fancy office equipment. Mostly, it is just us sitting together and discussing the prices of onions or grain. We help each other with the paperwork, which can be quite a headache with all the government forms. There is always someone coming by to ask for advice or to drop off a bag of something. It gets a bit noisy sometimes, but that is just how it is when you have a community working together. We are not trying to be a huge company; we just want to make sure our farms stay productive and our families have what they need. We learn something new every day about running a business, and we make plenty of mistakes along the way. But we keep going because it is better than working alone. It is a long journey for all of us here.
