Our address is G.No. 150/3/3 in Pund Wasti, which is part of the Ambad area. That is where we run Tanuandarnav Farmer Producer Company Limited. It is not really a big company in the way people in the big cities think about it. It is just us, the local farmers, coming together to handle our business. We spend most of our time out in the fields, not sitting in an office with a fan. When we do meet up at Pund Wasti, it is usually to talk about seed costs or to organize transport for the harvest so we can save on costs. We started this because it was getting harder and harder to get a fair price for our crops on our own. Now we can pool our produce together and have a bit more power when the buyers come. We grow things like cotton or grain depending on what the weather looks like each year. It is hard, sweaty work and the weather is never exactly what you want it to be, but we manage. We do not have a website or a professional sales team. We just have our land and our neighbors. We try to help each other out when someone’s crop is failing or when the market prices are down. It is just about survival and keeping the tradition of farming alive in this part of Ambad. We are just regular people trying to do right by our land and our families.
