Surya Tej Farmers Producer Companylimited is situated at Vaijnath Rama Sirsat’s place in Saknewadi. This is in the Latur district, and as anyone from around here can tell you, the sun can be really intense. That’s probably why we picked the name we did. We are just a collection of local farmers who decided that we weren't getting anywhere working by ourselves. So, we started this group to help each other out with things like buying supplies and selling what we grow. We don't have a fancy office building. We mostly meet at the house or out in the fields when we have a break. There’s no corporate hierarchy here. We all just pitch in and do what needs to be done. Sometimes the bookkeeping is a bit slow because we are all busy with the actual farming, but we get it done eventually. We don't use marketing talk or try to sound like something we aren't. We are just people who know the soil and how to work it. It’s a tough business, and there are plenty of bad days, but we stick together. We don't have big plans to expand everywhere. We just want to make sure our village of Saknewadi stays productive and that our kids have a future here. It’s plain and simple work for plain and simple people. We don't ask for much more than a decent crop and a fair price.
