Sramik Kisan Farmer Producer Company Limited is located right near Pravra Automobile in Akole. We’re based at Damodhar Chaudhari’s place, number 1624. We are a small group of farmers from around the Akole taluka. Most of us have been working the land here for as long as we can remember. We put this company together so we could have a bit more control over our farming business. It’s not a fancy operation at all. We spend most of our time out in the fields and only come together at the office when we need to sign papers or plan for the next harvest. Akole is a place where everyone knows everyone’s business, so we just keep things honest and straightforward. We handle the usual stuff like getting supplies and finding buyers for our crops. It’s hard work, especially when the rains don’t come when they’re supposed to. We don't use big words or pretend to be something we’re not. We are just farmers who want to make sure our families are taken care of. Having this group makes the heavy lifting a little easier to manage. It’s just about being practical and helping each other out through the seasons. We don't have all the answers, but we figure things out as a group and just keep moving forward with our daily chores and tasks.
