Snehbandh Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited is based at House No 144 in Chapadgaon. This is out in Shevgaon within the Ahmednagar district. The name Snehbandh is about the bonds we have here between us, but we don't spend much time talking about things like that. We spend our time talking about the price of onions or how much water the borewell is pumping this week. We are just a group of local guys who decided to make things official with a company name to help with the farming. Being in Chapadgaon, we are used to the heat and the long days in the fields. We use the space at house 144 to keep our bags of seed and our paperwork organized. It is not a corporate headquarters by any means. It’s just a place where you can hear the birds and the occasional tractor passing by on the road. We started this because we wanted to have a better way to buy what we need for our farms. Everything costs so much these days, so buying as a group helps us save a few rupees here and there. We don't have any grand plans to expand across the whole country. We just want to take care of our own fields and our own families right here in Ahmednagar. It is a lot of manual labor and sometimes the stress of the market gets to us, but we just keep going anyway because that is what we know.
