Smartharvest India Private Limited

We are based in Shop No 1 at Jogashavari in the Akhada Rahuri area. The place is actually C/O Babasaheb Krushnaji Bhujadi, who everyone around here knows. It’s a small shop right on the edge of the busy part of town. Smartharvest is what we do, but really it's just about helping the local farmers get their crops in better. The shop is often crowded with bags of seeds and different tools we are testing out. We don't have a lot of space, so things tend to get stacked up pretty high. There is a small bench out front where people sit and talk about the weather or the market prices. Rahuri is a hot place, and our shop doesn't have much shade, so we go through a lot of cold water during the day. We’ve been here for a while now and have seen the seasons come and go. We don't do a lot of fancy marketing; we just talk to whoever walks in the door. Sometimes the electricity goes off for hours, and we just sit in the dark and wait it out. It’s a slow pace of life but it keeps us busy enough. We aren't trying to be the biggest business in India, just a helpful spot for the people who live and work right here in Rahuri.
