Pathardi is a small place. Shrivrudheshwar Naturals Farmers Producer Company Limited started because a few of us here in Ghatshiras wanted to see if we could do things differently with our crops. We are located at House No-600, right in the heart of the village. It isn’t a store with bright lights. It’s just a place where we gather to talk about seeds and the weather. Lately, the ground has been a bit dry, so we’ve been worrying about the water levels. That’s life here in Pathardi taluka. We don't use much of the modern chemicals because we prefer to keep things natural, even if it takes more effort and time. It’s hard work, and our hands are usually dirty by noon. We grew up on these lands, so we know every corner of the fields. Sometimes the neighbors come over to borrow tools or just to have some tea and talk about the market prices. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure our families and the people around us have good things to eat. Living at Ghatshirastal means we are quite far from the big city, but we like the quiet. The birds are loud in the morning, and the air feels clear. It’s a simple life, and we are okay with that. We just do our best with what we have each season.
