Shrirampur Taluka Shetakari Krushi Producer Company Limited is located right in front of the Blind School in Shrirampur. We operate out of Saraswati Colony, and you’ll usually find Ashok Thore around there since the office is at his place. We started this because the farmers in our taluka needed a collective way to handle their business. It’s a very local effort, and most of the people involved are just neighbors and friends from the surrounding villages. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls; it’s just a comfortable spot where we can sit down and talk about crops and prices. Some days the place is quiet, and we just catch up on the books. Other days, it’s a hub of activity with people coming in to share news or ask for advice on their harvests. We try to keep things straightforward and honest. There’s no point in making things more complicated than they need to be. We focus on what the farmers actually need, like getting better access to inputs or helping them find a place to sell their goods. It’s a lot of manual work and coordination, but we’re used to it. We’ve been a part of the Shrirampur community for a long time, and we just want to keep helping out in any way we can. It’s not always easy, but it feels good to work with the people you’ve known your whole life.
