Shrigonda Women Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are the Shrigonda Women Farmers Producer Company Limited and we stay busy working at Gat No.633 in Loni Vyanknath. This is a local group run by the women here in the Shrigonda taluka. We all have our own small farms and families to look after every day, but we realized a while ago that it was much better to work as one group. Our office is right where we live and do our daily work. We don't have a big staff or a lot of expensive equipment, just our own hands and the knowledge we have picked up from our parents over the years. We spend our early mornings out in the fields and then come together in the afternoons to handle the business side of things. It is a lot to manage sometimes, especially when you have to cook and take care of the house too. We don't use any big words or have a grand corporate plan for the future. We just want to make sure we get a fair deal for the vegetables and grains we grow. People in the village know us well, and we know everyone else. It’s about sticking together when the prices drop or the weather gets bad. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when it should, but we just keep going anyway. Our setup in Loni Vyanknath is very simple and it works for us. We focus on the soil and our crops.
