Down at Sawantvasti in Sangamner, things move at their own pace. Shree Jyotiba Pratishthan Farmer Producer Company Limited is located right there at number 93, care of Jyotirling Kisan Sawant. It is a bit of a drive to get out here if you are coming from the main Barshi road, but it is where the work actually happens. The area is full of farmers who have been working this land for generations. Jyotirling is usually around if someone needs to talk about the upcoming season. We do not have any big signs or neon lights. It is just a regular building where we gather to talk about the crops. The dust can get a bit much during the dry months, but that is just how it is in this part of Sangamner. We started this because we saw that working alone wasn't helping anyone much. Now, folks from the Vasti and nearby areas come by to share what they know. It is a lot of sitting on benches and looking at the sky, hoping for rain at the right time. We handle the paperwork and the logistics, but the heart of it is just the soil and the people. It is a simple setup, and we prefer it that way. No one here wears a suit. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work. It is a quiet life, mostly, but we keep busy enough with the harvest and the planning.
