You’ll find Shivpushpa Farmers Producer Company Limited over at Gunjal Wadi in Sangamner. We are located at S No136/24/1/1, which is just a regular spot where we keep our records and meet up. Being in Ahmednagar, we deal with a lot of different crops depending on what the season brings. It’s a local effort, started by people who actually work the soil themselves. We didn’t want anything corporate or complicated. We just needed a way for us farmers to work together and maybe get a better handle on things like seeds and equipment. The office isn't much to look at, but it’s where the real work happens when we aren't in the fields. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors about what they’re planting and if they’ve seen any pests lately. It's a simple way of living, but it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. Sometimes the paperwork for the producer company gets a bit much, but we help each other out with it. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just know that if we work together in Gunjal Wadi, things might go a bit smoother for everyone involved. It’s a lot of trial and error, but we’re learning as we go. Most days you’ll find one of us there, ready to chat or help with something. It’s a good community and we enjoy being part of it.
