Our small office is located at Milkat No. 881 in Wakadi, which is over in Rahata taluka. It’s just a regular building where we handle the business for Shivnirman Farmer Producer Company Limited. The area around here is filled with hardworking folks who spend most of their lives out in the sun. We started this group because we were tired of being at the mercy of middlemen who didn't understand the work we put in. Now, we try to handle our own sales and distribution. It’s a bit of a learning curve for us. None of us studied business in a big city. We just know the land and what it grows. Sometimes we get together in the evenings to talk about the market prices or new ways to manage the soil. It’s a lot of talk about reality, not big dreams. We have to deal with the weather and the costs of transport just like everyone else. By staying together in Wakadi, we feel a bit more secure. It’s about making sure the next generation doesn't have it quite as hard as we did. We keep things straightforward. If someone has a problem with their crop, we see if we can help out. It's just how things go in a village like ours. We don't have a fancy website or anything, just this office and our shared goals. We spend our mornings in the fields and afternoons on the paperwork, just trying to keep things balanced.
