Shivchaitanya Farmers Producer Company Limited is located in Wariwari, which is a part of Kopargaon. We operate out of House Number 1064. It’s a very local operation, run by people who actually live and work on the farms around here. We aren't sitting in some high-rise building with suits on. You’ll usually find us in our regular work clothes, maybe with some mud on our boots. We started this producer company because the old way of doing things wasn't working well enough. It was hard to get good seeds or fair prices when you were just one person. Now that we are a group, we can help each other out more. Kopargaon is a busy place for agriculture, but it’s still a struggle sometimes. We don't have any polished slogans or mission statements. We just want to work hard and get paid fairly for what we produce. The office is just a room where we keep our paperwork. It can get a bit disorganized because we spend most of our time in the sun, not at a desk. We talk about practical things like fertilizer and how the local market is doing. We are just a bunch of neighbors trying to make things a little easier for ourselves. It’s not a fancy business, just a way for us to stick together and keep our farms going. That’s all there is to it really. We aren't looking to grow too big, just enough to be stable.
