You can find us over at Gat No. 1101/2/A in the Pankaj Nagar area of Chopda. This part of Jalgaon is where we have all grown up and started our farms. Sheti Samartha was set up because we realized that working separately wasn't really getting us anywhere. Now we pool our resources and try to manage the crops as a collective. It is a practical way to survive when the market prices keep jumping around. We aren't big business types; we are just people who know how to handle a plow and manage water during the dry months. The office in Pankaj Nagar is where we keep our papers and meet up after a day out in the sun. It gets pretty hot here in Jalgaon, so we have to be smart about how we work the ground. We grow a variety of things depending on what the weather allows. Our group is made up of neighbors and friends who have known each other for years. We don't use any complicated jargon or have a polished way of speaking. We just talk about seeds, fertilizers, and the harvest. It’s a busy life, and there is always something breaking that needs fixing. We just keep our heads down and keep moving forward. If you come by, expect to find us busy with chores or planning for the next planting season. We just do our best with what we have got.
