Seedgrow Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our place is at Gat No 93/1 in Dumbarwadi. It’s a bit of a drive out into the Junnar taluka from the main Pune city. We are mostly farmers here who wanted to do something about the seed situation. We noticed that getting good quality stuff was getting harder, so we pooled our resources. It’s not a fancy setup. We have a small warehouse and a basic office where we handle the paperwork. Most of the time, the desk is covered in dirt from someone coming in from the fields. We talk a lot about the weather and the soil. Junnar is a good place for farming but you have to know what you’re doing. We aren't using any big marketing tricks here. We just show each other what works. My cousin helps with the ledger on his days off. We have a lot of meetings under the shade of the big trees when it gets too hot inside. The goal is just to keep our farms going and maybe help the neighbors do the same. It’s hard work and the hours are long, especially during planting season. We don't really have weekends in this business. If the rain comes, we work. If a machine breaks, we fix it. It’s just how life goes in Dumbarwadi. We’re just trying to grow something decent and keep the bills paid for our families.
