We are over here at House Number 7/4 in Kharda. It’s a quiet part of the Jamkhed area in Anagar. Sant Sitarambaba Farmer Producer Companylimited is just a bunch of us locals trying to handle our farming business better. The roads around here get a bit dusty when the wind picks up, but it is home. We spend a lot of time out in the fields or sitting around the office talking about the rains. It isn’t a big fancy operation with glass walls or anything. It is just a small room where we keep our papers and meet up. Most days, you’ll see someone coming in with mud on their boots or checking the registers. We started this because doing things alone was getting harder. Kharda is a small place, so everyone knows everyone anyway. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters. We just focus on what needs to get done for the season. Sometimes the power goes out, or the internet is slow, but we manage. Being in the Tal-Jamkhed region means we understand the soil here. It’s not always easy work, and there are many long afternoons where we just wait for things to improve. We use our name because of the respect we have for the traditions here.
