Sant Gulabshesh Maharaj Farmer Producer Company Limited is over in the Telhara area, specifically in a place called Niboli. We operate out of Sahebrao Mahadeo Gadam’s place. The name we chose is very important to us because it reminds us to be honest and work hard, just like the teachings we follow. Farming in Niboli is what we have done all our lives. It’s not a hobby for us; it’s how we eat and live. We got the farmers together because we were tired of being pushed around by the middleman. Now, we try to handle things as a group. Sahebrao’s house is where we keep the company books and meet to make decisions. It is a simple life here. We wake up, check the cattle, and then see what the company needs for the day. Sometimes it is about finding a truck to move the grain, or sometimes it is just helping a member who is having a rough time. We aren't experts in marketing or anything like that. We just know how to grow crops and how to talk to our neighbors. The village of Niboli is small, so news travels fast.
