Sangnita Mahila Farmer Producer Companylimited is a group of women farmers from the Nashik area. Our place is Vitthal Bhavan, Chikucha Baag, Pundlik Nagar, Umrane Deola Nashik Nashik 423110. It is a small village where everyone knows everyone else. We aren't professional business people with fancy degrees. We are women who know how to work the soil. We spend our days out in the fields of Umrane. It’s hard work, but we are used to it by now. We don't have any corporate mission statements or big marketing plans. That’s just not our style. We started this producer company so we could have a bit more say in how our crops are handled. It’s a practical way to manage our farms. The office at Vitthal Bhavan is just a simple room where we meet to talk about the rain and the market prices. We don’t use any complicated English or big words. We just want to keep the farms running and take care of our homes. Some years the crops are good, and some years they aren't, but that’s the life of a farmer. We have lived in Nashik for a long time and we understand this land. We aren't trying to do anything fancy. We just work hard and hope for the best.
