Sahasheti Farmers Producer Company Limited is based at Gut Number 434/1 in the village of Rui. Rui is in the Rahata taluka. We are just a small group of local people who have been farming these lands for many years. Our operation isn't anything like those big companies in the city. We just have a small space at 434/1 where we keep our tools and our records. It’s often a bit messy with sacks and notebooks piled up, but that’s how we work. Farming in Rahata is all we know. Some years are decent and others are a real struggle when the rain doesn't come. We formed Sahasheti so we could buy things like fertilizer together and save some money. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. If we need to get the word out, we just talk to our neighbors. It’s a very local business. We don't have any big mission statements. We just want to grow our crops and sell them for a price that lets us keep going. If you’re ever passing through Rui, you can find us at the gut number listed. We are usually around somewhere, probably busy with something or other. It’s just us, the land, and our families. We do our best and hope for good weather every season. That’s the whole story.
