Pushpavati Farmers Producer Companylimited is based out of Vanjarwadi in the Jamkhed area. Specifically, we are at the place of Dnyandeo Jagannath Misal. He’s been around here forever and everyone knows him. Ahmednagar district is where we all call home. It’s a rural life out here, and that’s exactly how we like it. Our company is basically just a group of us who live nearby and grow things in the surrounding fields. We named it Pushpavati and we spend our days making sure we can actually make a living from the land. It’s not always easy, especially when the water is low. We spend a lot of time sitting around the yard talking about which crops are going to do well this season. There’s always someone coming by with a tractor or a cart. We don’t have a big fancy office building with glass walls. We just have a quiet spot in the village where we keep our books and meet up. It’s more of a community thing than a strictly business thing, if you know what I mean. We all help each other out when it’s harvest time. That’s the whole point of why we started this company in the first place. We wanted to stay connected and make sure none of us were left behind. It’s simple, honest work that we’ve been doing for generations in the Vanjarwadi area. Every season brings new challenges but we face them.
