Navhirkani Women Farmer Producer Company Limited is our name, and we are a group of women who decided to get together to handle our own farming business. Shevgoan is a busy area, so there is always noise from the road and people passing by. Our building is just a basic structure where we gather to talk about the fields and the prices. It gets a bit cramped when everyone shows up at once, but we make it work. We have a lot of tea and spend a lot of time on our phones checking things or calling people to see when the next delivery is coming. Farming isn't easy, especially when you are trying to manage the business side of it too. We have had some learning to do since we started. Sometimes we make mistakes with the forms or the timing, but we just fix it and move on. It is honest work. We don't have fancy uniforms or a big sign. We just know each other and the people in the town. If you come by, you’ll probably see us sorting through something or just sitting and planning for the next season. It’s a lot of long hours, but we are doing it for ourselves and our families, so it feels different than just working.
