Mula Ridge Agro Producer Company Limited

Our group is based in Rahuri at the market yard. It's right there at Ajinkya Anil Mehetre’s place. If you’ve ever been to the Rahuri market, you know it’s a loud and dusty spot with trucks and tractors coming in at all hours. We are an agro producer company, which sounds official, but mostly we are just local folks working with what the land gives us. Ahmednagar can get really dry, so we spend a lot of time worrying about water and how the crops are holding up. It’s not a corporate office with air conditioning and fancy chairs. We usually have sacks of grain or supplies sitting around. We talk to the farmers who come in from the surrounding villages every day. They tell us about their harvest and we try to figure out the best way to move the produce. It is hard work and my hands are usually dirty by the end of the day. We don’t have any big slogans or glossy brochures to show off. We just focus on the actual farming stuff that matters around here. Sometimes the market prices are good, sometimes they’re terrible, and we just have to deal with it together. It’s a simple life in a way, even if it gets stressful when the season is busy. We’re just here in the yard, doing the same work as everyone else, trying to keep the business going for the long haul.
