Maakapatgharen Producer Company Limited

Our company, Maakapatgharen Producer Company, is based at Kandakhal, which is over by the Palna post office. We run things from Jagujiban Jani’s place. It’s a real rural setup, far away from the big city lights. Here in the Kegaon Borda area, things move a bit slower, and we like it that way. We are a group of producers who decided to join up to make things a little easier on ourselves. Most of us have been farming these lands for as long as we can remember. The office is basically a room where we keep our registers and meet up to talk about the harvest. It’s not fancy; there are just some wooden benches and a desk that’s seen better days. We deal with whatever crops are in season. Sometimes it’s a lot of stress when the rains don’t come on time, but having the company helps us share the burden. We don't have any marketing people or fancy logos on the walls. We just have our names and our commitment to getting the work done. People from the village stop by to chat or to see if we have any news from the market. It’s a very open door kind of place. We handle the collection and the sorting ourselves. It’s hard work, and our hands show it. But it’s honest. We are just a group of locals trying to make a living from the land we know best and looking out for one another.
