Lokadnya Farmers Producer Companylimited

Our group is based in Khadki, which is part of the Kopargaon area. We operate out of House Number 187, which belongs to Suresh Baburao Borawake. He’s been a part of this community for a long time, so it made sense to have our base there. We called it Lokadnya because we wanted it to be for the people here. It’s a producer company, but really it’s just us farmers trying to find better ways to get our goods to market without getting stuck with bad prices. The roads around here can be a bit rough, especially during the monsoon, but we manage to get things moved. We don't have any fancy signs or a big staff. It is usually just a couple of us sitting around a table with some tea, going over the accounts or planning for the next harvest. We know the land here very well and we know what grows best in this soil. It’s hard work and some years are better than others. We don't try to make it sound like something it isn't. It’s just a practical way for us to survive and maybe help our kids have a better future in farming. If you come by Khadki, you’ll see us working in the fields or gathered at Suresh’s place. We are just regular people who believe in doing things together rather than on our own.
