Krushisuvidha Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are located right at Shop No. 1 in Songaon Peth, which is a busy little spot in the Rahuri area of Ahmednagar. Most days you will find someone here, usually sitting on a plastic chair or talking to a neighbor who just stopped by. Krushisuvidha Farmers Producer Company Limited started because a few of us in the village were tired of trying to figure out the markets on our own. It is a simple setup we have here. There is a lot of dust on the shelves and the paperwork gets piled up on the old wooden desk, but we know where everything is. Farming around Songaon is not always easy with the way the rain behaves, so we spend a lot of time just comparing notes on what seeds worked and what didn't last season. We don't have a big fancy website or a secretary answering the phones. Usually, if you call, you just get one of us while we are out in the field or driving the tractor. We handle the collection of produce right here when it is harvest time. It gets very crowded and loud with all the shouting and trucks backing up. People from the Taluka know us as the guys who are always trying to find a better way to get things to the city without losing half our money to the people in the middle. It’s hard work and some days we wonder why we started it, but then a neighbor gets a good price and it feels okay.
