We are located in Ramtek, specifically at Prabhakar Karamore’s place. It’s a well-known area and we’ve been here for a long time. The name Krushikranti Shetkari Utpadak is quite a mouthful, but it basically just means we are farmers trying to make a change. We aren't businessmen in suits. We are people who work the land in and around Ramtek. Most days you’ll see us out in the fields rather than at a desk. We use Prabhakar’s place to keep our records and meet up when we need to make decisions. It’s a collective effort. We talk about what to plant and how to get the best out of our soil. The challenges are always there—sometimes it's the rain, sometimes it's the electricity for the pumps. We don't pretend to have all the answers. We just work together to find solutions that help the whole group. Being in Ramtek, we have a strong sense of community. We don't need a lot of marketing because everyone around here knows us. We focus on the basics of farming and getting the produce to the market. It’s a lot of physical labor and long hours. We aren't looking for fame, just a way to make sure our farming is sustainable for the next generation. It’s just us, our tractors, and our land. We take it one day at a time and do our best with what we have. That is the way we operate and the way we live.
