Krushibhakti Farmers Producer Companylimited

If you head over to Ghulewadi in Sangamner, near the 132 Kv substation, you’ll find us at number 24, Elite Back. That’s where Krushibhakti Farmers Producer Companylimited is based. It’s not exactly a scenic spot, being right near the power station and all, but it’s where we get our work done. We are a group of farmers from the Ahmednagar area who decided that we needed to be more organized. For a long time, we just did our own thing, but it’s getting harder to make ends meet that way. Now, we use this space to coordinate what we’re planting and how we’re going to sell it. It’s not a polished operation. The walls could probably use a coat of paint, and there’s always a bit of mud on the floor from someone coming in from the fields. We talk about things like seed quality and why the truck didn't show up on time. It’s real life, not a commercial. We don’t have a mission statement hanging on the wall; we just have a list of things that need to be done before the sun goes down. Most of us have known each other since we were kids, so there’s a lot of trust, even if we disagree on the details sometimes. We’re just trying to do right by our land and our families here in Sangamner, and the company is our way of making that happen.
